These works, and the Phantom Series, which can be viewed in the 2015-2020 section of this site, were created in response to my Father’s death in 2018 (Joseph Ferry, 1928-2018). Around this time I read the Nick Cave quote (above) it resonated with me as an artist and encouraged me to explore the feelings I was going through in my work. The resulting works have kind of poured out, around 50 or so paintings, including these watercolours. So far I’ve not had time to document all of these on this website. I might get around to this at some stage.
